Another Successful Year

​Our final fixture of the year was at Blackmoor Golf Club, but it was not just about the golf – more of that later.  We are very pleased to announce Ted Snelling (pictured left), Captain of the Cardiac Rehab Golf Society presented a cheque to Chris Youngs, Chairman of Alton and Basingstoke Cardiac Rehab (pictured right).  The donation enables the purchase of a rowing machine, treadmill and a year’s maintenance contract for all the gym equipment.

Ted presented a cheque to the value of ​£8,368.80​ on behalf of the Golf Society Members.  Teresa Frost, Secretary, thanked all the members (past and present) for their generosity.  A fantastic end to the 2016 season and 10th anniversary of the Golf Society.

The final event of the year is always a special one and everyone was in good spirits.  The full golf results are posted below.  Many congratulations to the overall winner Adam Chambers.

After the golf we sat down to an excellent meal and raised a glass to the memory of Barry Spurgeon.

A big thank you to all our members and we look forward to an even more successful 2017.  Full details of the fixtures for 2017 will be published shortly and Teresa will also email further details to all the members in January.
