Steady & Strong
Aimed at the over 65s, Steady & Strong classes are designed to help you regain and maintain strength, balance and coordination and help you live independently and actively for longer and help reduce falls.
We will provide a free 20 minute assessment, either face to face or over the telephone, before starting your Steady and Strong exercise classes.
Steady & Strong will help you to:
- Increase your confidence
- Improve your balance
- Learn how to get down to the floor safely and up again
- Increase your strength
- Increase your stamina
- Make new friends
Cardiac Rehab offer two types of Steady & Strong classes:
- A lower-level class with a mixture of seated and standing exercises using hand weight/resistance bands
- A floor-based class – participants must be able to get to/from the floor with the aid of a chair
We will talk with you about the best option at your assessment.
Steady & Strong is a partnership between Hampshire County Council, Southern Health and Community Exercise Instructors.
Call 01420 557 385 to discuss the options with our Health Programme Team or email staywell@cardiac-rehab.co.uk.
