How We Are Funded
Our mission is to improve significantly the quality of life of people in our community through affordable, accessible and inspiring cardiac exercise programmes, information, guidance and support.
We can achieve this only because of the generosity of our supporters, users, donors & fundraisers.
We are not a part of the NHS, and receive no funding from them, but our work is closely aligned with both GP and Hospital services.
Cardiac Rehab cares for patients after NHS treatment is completed, when GPs refer to us as part of disease prevention, or people refer themselves.
The funds we raise through class fees, donations and grants are used to ensure our vital services are available to as many people as possible, for as long as they need it, and that our work can continue into the future.
Why support us
Cardiac Rehab is funded in part by class fees, but these only cover around 40% of our running costs. Charitable donations and grants help to supplement our income, but we rely on the generous support of the public and our community to help us deliver our vital services. The COVID pandemic has also had a massive impact on our income, by affecting both exerciser numbers and fundraising income.
The Charity can and wants to do more to help improve the heart health, fitness and wellbeing of those who have and those at risk of heart disease. To be able to do this we need to raise additional funds.
So please “Have a Heart” and help us with your time, money or expertise. We are a small team, and we need your help!
By helping us financially, you can make a real difference to the lives of those who will benefit most from the services we offer.
